Amazing Brands I’ve Discovered in 2021

It’s such a thrill when you discover a new brand that you love. It’s always great to share that knowledge with others so here are a few brands that I’ve discovered in 2021. I’m sure many of you will have heard of them but they are new to me, and I love them.

South of the River

South of the River is a clothing, accessories and lifestyle brand, that stock a handpicked edit of beautiful items. I was first drawn to them because they have a great selection of clothes that are just a bit different from the usual high street offering. I particularly love their dresses and pleated skirts.

The first item I bought was a pleated leopard print maxi skirt which I love. It’s such a beautiful colour, hangs nicely and the material doesn’t wrinkle. It may have been the first item I’ve bought from them but it definitely won’t be the last. The next thing I have my eye on is their stunning Julia dress, which I’m hoping to nab as soon as my size is back in stock!

If you’re after a gift that’s just a little bit different then make sure you check out their site as you’re sure to find a real gem.

Daisy Jewellery

Daisy Jewellery offer beautiful pieces of modern, affordable jewellery. Items are sustainably crafted in 100% recycled sterling silver and 18ct gold plate. Their necklaces and rings are perfect for layering which means just a few pieces can be worn in many different ways to give you a fresh look each time.

Although Daisy Jewellery is a relatively new brand for me, they have been going for over 10 years. As well as selling online they are also stocked in a number of independent jewellers and even select John Lewis and Selfridges stores.

I fell in love with the Isla mother of pearl necklace (#gifted). It’s design is simple and delicate with a twisted chain and a mother of pearl pendant. It’s a beautiful necklace and goes will with so many different outfits.  I like to layer it with a shorter necklace. It’s become my signature piece.

They currently have a collaboration with Estee Lalonde and the items are well worth a look. They are sure to become classic pieces. If you’re after a future heirloom piece then be sure to have a look at their site.

Betty Bramble

I first discovered Betty Bramble when I was looking for a Christmas top that wasn’t too over the top. I ordered the navy Tis the Season t-shirt and was really impressed with the quality.

Betty Bramble is an award winning British designer of personalised clothing for adults, children and babies. Items are embellished with their unique designs that are printed or embroidered on to their quality garments. They have an active instagram page where you can often see them producing their designs from their Surrey studio.

I love my Christmas t-shirt but it is a seasonal piece. My next purchase will be one that I can get a bit more wear out of. I love the lightning bolt t-shirt. It’s a clean, classic design that’s very wearable. They have gifts for all the family.
